When violent crime strikes, it can rob victims of more than health and safety. It takes away their dignity and often leaves them helpless and hopeless.

Every year thousands of San Diegans are victims of violent crime. These victims often need immediate help with food, medical services, housing, and personal items – a pair of glasses that were smashed in a strong arm robbery, a car badly damaged in a car jacking, or they suffered injuries after an assault at the hands of a loved one. In many cases where the victim has little access to resources, they cannot wait to try to get money back from the state Restitution Fund or from the criminal defendant after he is prosecuted. The victims need help immediately. Our goal with the San Diego County Victims Emergency Relief Fund is to provide that help as soon as they need it.

Today, San Diegans can help give victims hope by calling
(866) 755-HOPE to make a donation by credit card or you can donate online. We need the help of many generous people now to give hope to those in need.

If you have been personally victimized and need help, please call the San Diego County District Attorney's Victim Assistance Program at (619) 531-4041.

Thank you in advance for helping to give hope through your generous donation.
